The future ain’t what it used to be!’ – Yogi Berra.
Some people want to be in control. They want to know what is going to happen next. They micro manage their days. When something goes the other way they panic. They feel lost and do not know what to do anymore.
Control is an illusion! You can’t be in control all the time. The world is changing fast. Global disruption is raging and it is reaching our homes, schools and workplaces. What is new today is forgotten tomorrow.
So what can you do?
Just do what all successful people did before:
1.Live in the moment. Make contact. Listen to people, watch things happen. Stay humble and quiet. Absorb the world around you. Feel it. Never be bothered by the past or concerned about the future. Dare to dance, sing and enjoy!.
2.Plan for the future. The future is the place where you are going to spend the rest of your life. Take some time for yourself once in a while and try to imagine how that future looks like.
What do you want to achieve?
When are you happy?
Set simple and plain goals.
Where you are going might be clear, how to go there is not. You’ll have to adept, adjust and be smart along the way. It is like Charles Darwin said:
‘Not the strongest or the fittest will survive but those who adept most’
Travel with an open mind and travel with a place to go. This is what made us such a successful specie.
Live in the moment. Plan for the future.
